Best Selling Books for 2014

I was curious to find out what was popular this year in YA, so I looked at the top selling books for this year on amazon and here are the top 10 results:

1. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
2. The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of Olympus #5) by Rick Riordan 
3. Divergent (Book #1) by Veronica Roth
4. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
5. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
6. Insurgent (Divergent #2) by Veronica Roth
7. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
8. Looking for Alaska by John Green
9. The Maze Runner (Book #1) by James Dashner
10. Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth

I have read only 6 of the ten (I have indicated in bold which ones) and I have to say I am not surprised by this list. 6 of these books have been made into movies; coincidence? I think not. (those are in gray).
